I hatched 6 eggs from friends. Am trying to figure out what they might be (both breed and sex). They are potential crosses of the following: Rhode Island Red, Columbia Rock, Barred Rock, Silkie, Easter Egger, Bielefelder (and who knows what else).

They all came from brown eggs, though my friends have both EE hens and roos.

Some of them have Silkie features (pouff, 5 toes, lightly feathered legs). One has greenish legs (EE).

They are 6 wks old in the photos. Any help would be appreciated.

Some of the chicks are in more than one photo. There are two red, two silver and two mottled with red chicks.

drumstick diva,

yes, i should have worded my request to ask what breeds were crossed to produce these chicks :)

I think the black/white/gray chick with the topknot and green legs is a pullet. She doesn't seem to be developing any rooster feathers, she hasn't got any red, and her pattern on her chest sems to be even rather than splotchy.

Update: for those who gave their opinions - the four reddish ones are all cockerels and the two white & grey ones are pullets.
