We ordered fertile eggs and incubated them.Hatchery birds or from a breeder? I agree with the others that one on the right is a cockerel for sure.
We got ferile eggs from a "barnyard mix" online and incubated. The website listed Barred Rock, Buff Orphington, RIRed, Australorp, and other well-known breeds. Not what we got but its ok. I wish we could keep Biddy aka Buddy but we live in city limits.I agree that they look like mixed breeds, and also that the red one with the huge comb and wattles is a male
Thank you. They are 10 weeks old and just like that he became bossy and showing his muscle to the other two. I was hoping for a girl but...today he started a sound that is the first half of a crow sound.They look to be mixed breeds. The one to the right is a rooster.
Yes, and we live in a gated community. I am pushing my luck already!They are very good looking chickens. It's really too bad you can't have cockerels though.![]()
