What Breed are these chickens

Was looking at adopting some chickens off my brother as he is moving house and just wanted to know what breed they are and if they are good egg layers and pets. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Adopt them! Good pet breed, gorgeous in the flock, acceptable egg layers and yes, obviously that hen has the broody trait!

I think she's an Orpington of some sort but I'm not good at breeds.

I'd take her and her chicks in a flash.
