What breed are these? Pullet or Cockrels?

Sorry you are having this experience, it's not rare. your seller might not have any more idea than you do, or could be telling you what you want to hear.
Farm stores might do better, or not, and will have very young chicks. Anyway, look up what breeds you might want, and how they look at different ages, before you buy.
Feathersite, breed clubs, and big hatcheries like Cackle will have lots of photos, helpful for all of us!

Thank you! I have to find someone to take these boys first and then we’re going to get some older birds to try to introduce in with our girls. I don’t want to start over with littles; we need some eggs.
