So my boyfriend rescued 2 turkeys from an animal hoarding situation and the rescue group didnt have much information on the animals. We were curious what breed our new family members were.

There is only one breed of domestic turkeys. The breed is Turkey. The variety of turkey you have is Bourbon Red.

I'm pretty sure those are Bourbon Reds? Can't think of any other breeds with that colouration, anyway.

It looks like you might have a Tom, and a Hen, but yes they are Bourbon Reds... i hope that get the care they need
