Between that stump and you
My 4 Pullets are bugging me ever since I got them from Atwoods. I was told they were New Hampshire Reds, and when they started feathering, I learned it was a lie. There are so many different breeds they could be, but I need help in figuring it out. Well, here are some pics of my girls and of a Red Star / Buff Orpington cross Rooster that I have. (I'm calling him a red star cross for now, but who knows.)

The ISA brown/golden sex-link/ brown sex-link, etc. are all theoretically the same thing.

Each hatchery has it's own "brand" of chicken and that "brand" is named according to the hatchery.

For example:
A golden sex-link at one hatchery may be called a "Golden Comet" whereas at another hatchery, it's called a "Golden Star". This is just an example.

They are all sex-links, but each has it's own little "name" that is denoted by the hatchery.

Oh, okay! Now I understand. That makes sense now, but you'd think they would make it all less confusingly. Thank you very much. Is it the same with the black sex link? I have a black sex link pullet, but I was told she doesnt look like one.
