What breed/gender?

A bit of a long story but this is Fred and I am wondering what kind of chicken and gender Fred is.

Fred is a cockerel, maybe a Buff orpington mix

Face looks female, feathering male. Possibly a pullet, or hen(Depending on age), with damaged ovary.

The chicken hasn’t started crowing. Which I feel like it would’ve? I don’t know the age.

I can make an estimate, between 4-5 months. If under a year.

Possibly could be a year, or older. Hard knowing for sure though.
