Sunny side up :)
Dh brought 3 of these home when they were a few days old around Easter. I am thinking they are probably all hens. They all look the same but one is a little larger but thier snoods are all still the same size. I haven't seen them displaying yet or heard any gobbling. Does this mean they are female?

Are they Broadbreasted Bronze or something else? Thanks

Here is another pic of one of them from last month you can see the feathering better in this one.

He got them from a feed store but didn't ask what kind they were grrrr. They were kind of chipmonky when little (striped).

How old do they have to be before thier snood starts getting long, if they are male and how old before the males gobble and display?

they look like Standard Bronze at least the 2nd one does and looks like my hens.
We got our April 15 and can very definately tell the 2 toms from the 2 hens the Toms are much larger
The Toms are already gobbling and the hens are making a clucking type sound. the hens never do gobble
We found if a stranger with a different voice than ours comes to see them they gobble LOL or any type of a different noise
from my understanding the Heritage turkeys (which are the Bronze) need higher protein than the other breeds. We feed 28% protein.
This is our first year with Turkeys so learning all the time LOL didn't even know they liked to roost till I read it LOL

Did they look like this? Mine are Bronze or maybe a Bronze cross, they are getting darker by the day and are only 9 weeks old now, this pic was at 2-3 weeks
