What Breed Is My Rooster?

I'm kind of confused about the breed of our rooster. He started out looking like a blue gray chick with a light spot on his head, and now looks just like a Barred Rock. I know that BR chicks are black with a white spot on his head. What could he be? His feathers are definitely barred though. Perhaps a Plymouth Blue Rock? What do you all think?

Not really. 50% will have barring, & the other 50% won't have barring. This is for both sexes.
