Doesn't look like any hatchery breed I'm familiar with.

Its commonly know as "failure to thrive". Don't expect it to live. It could die at anytime without warning. You can isolate it and put it on a high protein feed and vitamins, electrolytes, and probiotics in its water. That may help. Depending on the weather "cool and/or damp nights" it may still need some supplemental heat.

Oh, that breaks my heart. It's so odd. It is very active and eats high heartily. The others dont bully it for its size or anything. It's been outside for about a week now and is starting to feather a bit more than previously.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was thinking that probably explains the odd feathering too perhaps

Do you happen to have a photo of her as a peep? The solid dark eyes are relatively rare- off the top of my head I can only think of Australorps and Deathlayers.

@Gray Farms is spot on about failure to thrive- but lets hope that she's just a late bloomer. I actually had one this spring who is just catching up- not quite as far behind as your youngster but REALLY slow to feather.

Could it be that there was an err when they filled your order...?
(Shrugs)
Mistakes happen, right?

Looks kinda like an Old English...

She doesn't exactly look like she is on the brink ... 😒 I hope she is able to catch up.

I mean, again, she doesn't act like she's weak or sickly. She's very active. No alarming peeping. She has never stopped eating or drinking. She will fight the others for food. No lethargy. I hope so, too. 😔
