we got a rooster yesterday along with two isa brown hens from the RSPCA animal shelter. Just wondering what breed he is. They didnt know how old he was and he has blood on his face from being attacked by other roosters at the shelter and his last home.

We have done that but I guess the dried blood is stuck so will have to do it a few times. He is friendlier then out hens and actually is petrified of them as they pick on him a little too. Also he dosnt have spurs is that normal or is he just young? Thanks :)

As ramir said, he is a Red Sex-Link.
He looks young so still has a bit of growing to do, including growing in spurs.
After living in a better environment ( your house ) for a while he should start feeding better, growing more and getting more friendlier with the girls so should turn into a really handsome rooster ( not that he already isn't.lol. )

Good luck with your new flock and good work on saving them from a shelter

He is pretty lucky haha because we got him the same day he was surrendered to the shelter and they were also going to euthanase him because of the blood. Also they were going to euthanase our other hen (but they didn't when they heard we were coming to have a look at them) because they didn't know why she was loosing feathers and then said it could be molt. Our first chickens I love them already!!

Edit: my mistake they weren't going to euthanase him but they didn't want to pay to take Him to the vet as they had other animals in need.

Oh that is great. So many roosters go to waste and it sounds like you found a real friendly one.
I would like to see some pictures if you have any?

Is that bush turkey a problem for your chicken, eating their food etc?
