It is possible. Some Welsh can lay as early as 16 weeks, but usually take up to 20-24. But being as we are in the middle of the highest part of light right now it could trigger earlier laying in a Welsh. If your chickens religiously use their nesting boxes your Welshie would be the likely cause of random egg on the ground in the run.lol, sorry. Next question, is she too young to be laying? I got her early March as a fluffy duckling from TSC. I'm 90% sure she layed an egg today. I found an egg much bigger than a chicken egg and whiteish on the ground in the run. Unfortunately the dog go it before I could take a photo![]()
