Ameraucana is a standard breed that comes in very specific colors and will lay blue eggs.
They are not very common and quite expensive. An americana, ameracana, araucana and any other alliteration of the spelling is an Easter Egger. Also known on the forum as EE. They can also be ameraucana that don’t have the correct coloring. They not only lay blue eggs but they may also lay green, pink or brown eggs. Always a surprise to find out what color each particular bird will lay.That is where the Easter Egger name comes from.
