Hi there!

I just picked up this little guy from a farm last week. Problem is I don't think he's the breed, age, or sex that the breeder said he is. Could you please help me figure out what breed (he is a bantam), what age (breeder said 3.5 months), and what sex (breeder said roo, I think hen.)

Thank you for your help!

You're right that it's probably not a Leghorn. If it was crossed with a Faverolles, it would probably get the dominant feathered feet gene (having it from both parents) and have feathered feet. Maybe a Light Brahma Bantam crossed with a white Ameraucana?

It's definitely an EE cross. The white leggs are dominant as well, so it was crossed with a white clean legged breed. Perhaps crossed with a white Orpington, which would account for the heavy cushy feathering too.

What makes you think the OP's bird has EE in him?
To call the OP's bird a, "EE cross" is a oxymoron since the Easter Egger (EE) is a cross bred chicken it's self.

The OP's bird looks a lot like a Columbian Wyandotte / Faverolle cross, note in a Faverolle cross very few of the offspring will have the fifth toe or feathered legs.
The OP's bird also looks to have a Rose Comb so that trite could have cam from the Wyandotte.

I was also considering a Columbian Wyandotte, thank you for your feedback.
