It has now been 4 weeks since I bought my chicks from Tractor Supply. I am new to raising chicks and having chickens but remembered my uncle saying that White Leghorns were good layers so thats what I went after. The chickens were supposed to be sexed, I asked for 6 leghorn pullets and told him to give me a male so he reached down and picked up a little chick with a stripe down its back and said it should be a male. Long story short at least one of my leghorns is a male (I am pretty sure by his big red cone) but the little chick that was supposed to be a male I am not so sure about. Can you guys tell me what breed this chick is and if you think it is a roo or pullet?

little early to tell, but i would bet on male
Thanks for the reply! Here is another pic of it in the background also with the leghorn that has the bigger red cone. Any guesses on the breed of the dark one?

I think male too. Do you know what breed?
Nope not a clue, was hoping someone here would know. Here is what it looked like when it was smaller. Also attaching a pic of it with my leghorn male

No clue on breed, but I would say you have two cockerels (the leghorn with the big comb and the unknown breed).
I am hoping it is a pullet. It is my first time raising chicks so I am attached to all of them but if I have two males I will have to get more hens for my flock. Thanks so much for replying!
