Also, is there any other information you can gather from this picture about then hen, eg. age? Thanks all.

She looks like a mixed breed, probably with some heavier bodied white bird like Plymouth Rock. Age is hard to tell, but she doesn't look younger than 5 months or so.

Definitely a mixed breed hen with some type of white breed in her ancestry.
