What breed is this?

We hatched this pullet and we were wondering what breed it could be. I don’t know if it’s a cross or not because one of our friends gave us the egg from their farm. If it is a cross what is it a mix of?

Yes, a cross for sure. Maybe Easter egger crossed with production Rhode Island red. It has a pea comb so a breed with a pea comb like Easter egger must be one of the parents, and it has a lot of that reddish color like a RIR. So that's my best guess, but could be many other combinations, too.

We can determine three facts from these pictures.
1. Its a crossbred
2. One/both parents had a pea comb.
3. One parent was red.

Thanks guys! I guess we’ll find out when she starts laying if it’s an Easter Egger. We have three other Easter Eggers here and she does look a little bit like them. She doesn’t have the fluffy cheeks like the others though.

She likes my older birds as friends but I think she would rather have the younger ones in her belly. We watch her carefully though.
