Americana is just a fancy name that hatcheries slap on Easter Eggers.

Ameraucanas are a pure breed. Americunas are the same as Easter Eggers. Note the spelling.

The hatcherys deliberately misspell it to mislead the public into thinking they are getting real Ameraucanas when actually they are buying Easter Eggers. Some of the more honest hatcherys actually call them Easter Eggers though.

That isn’t true. Ameraucana is a pure breed, Americana is just what they call Easter Eggers to make them sound pure.
