Hi so six weeks ago I got 2 mystery baby chicks from my friend and now that they’re six weeks old I’m trying to figure out the breed of them so let me start with the black one. It has feather feet and has spotted black feet and it’s all black there’s not really a lot with that one . The other one is a tan color and also has feather feet and the interesting thing is that it has five toes So that’s really it . And also could y’all sex them if you can they have small combs and wattles. Thank you!

They definitely look like they have some Cochin, and they both have tiny, pale combs and wattles at six weeks, so they are probably female. Cute couple of chicks! I love their feathered feet!

Thank you but they also have 5 toes so I don’t know if Cochin have 5 toes

Five toed breeds are silkies, Sultans, Faverolles, Dorkings and Houdans. Silkes, Sultans and Houdans are crested, Faverolles have beards/muffs.

Are these bantam or LF sized?

you can usually tell between LF and bantam as the bantam cochin verieties have shorter legs for their body size

I agree on the pullets, and I almost agree on the cochin. They certainly look like it. But the 5 toes has me stumped. Like @keesmom said, the 5 toed breeds have some pretty distinguishing characteristics.
I have zero experience with dorkings. But maybe cochin x dorking?
