What breed is this?

When I bought this rooster a couple of years ago I was told he was a Jersey Giant. However, the more I have learned over the last couple of years the more I have come to doubt that. He is a large boy!

I bought him because I fell in love with him. It really doesn't matter what breed he is to me. I am just curious.

No clue, but wanted to say he is a handsome boy!!!

A black Cochin or a Langshan would be my guess. He's got heavier leg feathering than your average Langshan but is more upright than your average Cochin.

I think he is beautiful too. He's such a sweetie. My 9 year old swings with him and he falls asleep in her lap.

He's a hatchery quality Black Cochin.
