what breed of chicken is this

One of my chicks has a cool striped pattern witch I've never seen befor. Has anyone had a chick look like this?

Yes, I thinks is called a chipmunk marking. In some breeds females have this marking.

Mine have it as well. BLue laced red wyandottes.

My Dark Cornish (hen) had these markings, my EE (roo) as well, and now, my one week old Brown Leghorn has them, too. It comes in all sorts of breeds, and variations, I suppose... watch for the real feathers. You can start to really tell the breed (and gender) 8+ weeks.

I think ultimately it's a really cool patterning that serves as camoflage outside in the leaves and brush.

This is it exactly. Several different colors start out as some type of chipmunk markings, it's not a good indicator of breed or sex in most cases. Hey, it keeps chipmunks safe, why not baby chicks
