what breed of chickens tend lay most chicks?

You mean go broody and hatch more chicks?
Or lay more eggs?

I can't speak for Ameracaunas, unless they're actually Easter Eggers. EEs sometimes go broody, but it's hit-or-miss. They're good layers, but more what I call "endurance" layers than "sprinters." They lay a lot of eggs over a long period of time, while an ISA brown, for instance, lays a lot of eggs for a short period, then quits.

RIRs that aren't heritage almost never go broody. If you got them from a hatchery and they're more red than brown, they're Production Reds. Production Reds, as a rule, don't go broody. It's happened, but it's very unlikely. They're good layers, but slow down drastically after two or three years.

Dominiques are noted for being good mothers and hatching out chicks. They're also endurance layers, and lay a good number of eggs.
