What breed / sex would you all give these?

I’ve gotten mixed opinions from saying they are all Roos but upon researching the Barred Rocks hens can have a pronounced red crest.

I’ve gotten mixed opinions from saying they are all Roos but upon researching the Barred Rocks hens can have a pronounced red crest.

I have never heard that Barred Rock hens could have a red chest... I would say whatever site you found that on was misinformed.

How old are they and where did you get them? I do see a Barred Rock in there. One looks like an Orpington, possibly a Splash Orpington? The black thing has feathered shanks, which makes me think Marans, and if that's the case, she's a pullet. I'm not sure on the one with leakage/red shoulders. Personally, I think you've got some barnyard mixes there. I'm thinking rooster on all of those, though the possible Marans one might be a pullet. (Marans have large combs, even at a young age.)

How old are we talking?
The BR does look like a Cockerel, double barring, but I've seen late maturing females have a lighter coloration too.

The answer depends on how old they are. But the splash and the blue with red leakage are definitely cockerels. The blue looks like a pullet, as I'm not seeing darker shoulder feathers, which are a sign of a male. The barred one could also be a pullet, depending on age.
