Sorry, no pics.
But our neighbors recently bought 7 chicks from a local feed store:
3 black Austrolorps
2 white Leghorns
1 Golden Laced Wyandotte
1 mystery chick?
Today, they are still young(have not crowed or started laying yet, but look like mini versions of adults. Still peep like chicks). They are all suppose to be pullets.
We aren't sure what breed the mystery chicken is. They thought that it was suppose to be a New Hampshire Red or some kind of laced Wyandotte. This is what it looks like(sorry, no pic!):
-caramel colored(like a dark Buff Orp.)
-small pattern of black feathers on base of the back side of neck(near back)
-single comb
-yellow beak
-yellow legs
-some black feathers mixed into caramel colored tail
-a few black feathers on wing tips(but not that much)
Any thoughts?
