What breed?

This little one is from the My Pet Chicken rare breed assortment and I'm trying to figure what she can be...any guesses? I'm leaning towards Maran, but I'm not sure.

Note on the pictures: make sure when you go to generate a url (after you've uploaded the picture, before you embed it in your comment), you tick the box labeled "Image not just link" or something like that. Also, you should be able to click on the picture you want from the pop-up that comes up when you go to embed an image. Hope this helps!

As for the chicks...well, for the first it's awfully early to tell. Black Andalusian, Sumatra, Marans are some of my guesses. You might have to wait a little bit, even though I know it hard! She'll definitely end up black anyway.

I agree with you on the second, she's ADORABLE! Such a sweet little face, and big eyes can be sign of quality! Also generally a good trait when it comes to Polishes.

Thank you for commenting FrizzleFreak! I really appreciate it. It is so hard to wait. The second one (Polly) is quickly becoming my favorite out of the 8 that I got. She is too cute. She's smaller than the rest, but holds up her own very well. Thank you for the tips on how to embed the pictures too.

She probably isn't a marans, as they have pinkish legs.

The second link, that one looks to be a polish or a silkie, with the cute little hairdo!
My guess on the first black chick is dominique

Definitely a polish on the second. A silkie would have feathered legs and 5 toes.

How interesting. I never thought it could be a dominique. I thought I had read that marans have black legs and pink toes. I'm all new to this and I'm finding my mystery chicks very interesting and exciting. Thank you all for your opinions

Just to add, they both have 4 toes. The first one has black legs with pink toes and the second one has black legs and toes. Neither has hairy legs.

The second one is a polish and the second one looks like it first might be a dominique.
