This is Birdie. I’m not sure how old he is, any guesses are welcome.
His previous owner only said he was an EE cross, but I’m curious to know what he’s got in him.
He has three rows on his comb, but the middle one is much larger than the sides. He has regular sized wattles, and a fair amount of feathers on his feet. He is totally missing tail feathers, but it’s clear that he has a tail bone. He does have the fluffy and soft under-the-tail feathers though.

My newbie guess would be Brahma because of his buff Brahma like coloring and feet, crossed with Araucana because of his lack of tail. It’s hard to tell his size because I wouldn’t know if it’s due to age or small breed. I know he’s young, he still has a soft baby chick voice.
Thank you for your input!

Those are both likely breeds that he could be.

Ameraucana and Crested Cream Legbars also have colored genes
Yes, but thanks to the Auracana genes.

The Ameraucana is an American breed of domestic chicken. It was developed in the United States in the 1970s, and derives from Araucana chickens brought from Chile. It was bred to retain the blue-egg gene but eliminate the lethal alleles of the parent breed. There are both standard-sized and bantam versions. Source: Wikipedia

The Cream Legbar breed is developed with Auracana too and can be summed up this way:
  • Their Plymouth Rock heritage contributed autosexing—so chicks can be sexed at birth
  • Their Leghorn heritage contributed excellent egg-laying ability
  • Their Araucana heritage contributed blue and green eggshells and adorable crests
