Maxx, just the other day I saw somewhere here on BYC where there was a breeder in Florida that has really beautiful Millie Fluer Cochins. do a search.

I read hear somewhere its buff columbian cochins x mottled cochins

or you could use partridge , wheaten or duckwing cochins x buff
then take F1's from that cross and x to mottled i beleive.

If i am not correct , please somebody feel free to correct me.

No- if you do that you'll end up with something like incomplete buff columbian. And it take a long time to get back to the cochin "type". You're better off getting some MF project cochins and working with them.

Breed buff columbians to mottled birds. The mottled gene has to be there twice, so you'll have to put the first kids with more mottled birds. It takes a while to get a nice even coloration, or they would have perfected it by now. I agree, getting some MF cochins already in the making, would be much easier on you to work with, than trying to start from scratch.

BUT if you want to work on LF cochins...be my guest

I would love some giant cochins in that color!
