What Breeds do you Recommend?

I love most of those breeds, but Orpingtons win every time for me.
There are a lot of nice breeds there.
I also love Barred Rocks and Jersey Giants. Silkies are also very friendly....

I have 2 Easter Egger chicks right now, and they are really cute. They have a ton of personality and they're really pretty. Plus they lay blue eggs!
I also have 2 cochin bantam chicks (one frizzle and one normal one), and they are absolutely adorable. They are definitely some of the friendliest chickens I have owned.
I like barred rocks, but, because they are dual purpose breeds, they get really fat which causes a lot of health issues.
Rhode Island Reds are fun, but you have to be careful that you get true RIRs and not production Reds.
I like Australorps too. They are gorgeous, friendly, and mine is a great mom. She is raising some chicks for me right now.
I have never owned these, but Old English Game bantams hold the world record for the longest life span of any chicken. I definitely want some in the future.
