today we found this strange white jelly sack in the coop.. I’ve had shellless eggs and it’s not that, this is pure white.. one end looks like it was attached to something... I’ll add picture..
then when I looked in the nesting box I saw gooey stuff in the hay and also this other thing that
Looked like a raw piece of chicken! It feels like cartilage.. and looks like a piece of wing.. I only have 2 hens, no rooster... on one side it looks like little egg sacks that may have been attached.. it is about 3 inches long.. smells horrible! Any advice? It looks like a piece of her came out.. She is still in the nesting box, doesn’t appear to be in pain and no blood...

Well she is out of the nesting box now and hanging out with the other.. I am wondering if she will ever lay an egg again... I cant find anything online with a picture similar to the meaty thing..

The flesh colored thing looks like a lash egg. I suspect the white is a malformed or partially formed egg. My guess would be salpingitis. You can look that up and find loads of information. Short story is an infection/inflammation of the reproductive tract. The long term prognosis is likely poor. If you have vet that treats birds they can test to see if it responds to antibiotics and recommend one. I've lost several birds to it, antibiotics has maybe bought them some time, but I've not had one recover completely, they've ultimately succumbed. There are articles where people say their birds did recover. It's not uncommon in laying hens especially those that are prolific layers. Usually by the time they pass these the infection has been going on for a while, they are very good at hiding it, and some people don't know the bird is sick until necropsy because no lash egg is passed. Some birds can live for quite a while with this, for some not so long. I usually just leave them be until they are obviously not feeling well, go off their food, lethargic, weak, or can't roost, and then I cull. Sorry the news is not more encouraging.

Wow, I had no idea... I am going to do some
More research on it and see what antibiotics or natural fighting things I can feed her
To help her... she’s my baby..
