Can home today to find several spots in my run had been bent. The run is made out of what I consider standard chain link. One place the chain link was kind of folded. In three other places near the top of the run it had actually been bent out of shape as if something was pulling on it very hard. I live a short distance from downtown Denton which is not a small city. Large predators other than domestic dogs are not an issue here.

I have a fat old Labrador that just plain use to destroy my chain link dog kennel. I had to go to welded wire panels and she bends the dickens out of that. Doesn't matter where you are you can have coyotes and raccoons.

I do have an Irish wolfhound (150 pounds) that is obsessed with the chickens. The bends are at the top of the kennel though so I suspected it was more of a climbing critter. That and he is an inside dog so he is never out unsupervised for long. I was suspecting more of climbing critter but didn't think raccoons were strong enough to bend chain link.

I've seen racoons do just that. They'll climb around on it, and fiddle with the wire untill they think they can find a spot to work with. A large raccoon is a fair amount stronger then most people would assume.
