what can i do ? Need help

i put a chick that was a day old and put it in with some that a 2 weeks older and some that are between 2-7 day olds the new one is geting piked on

. I just put it back in the bator. what shold i do ? need help .

Is there a way you can split the brooder so the others can see the new chick but not get to it. Maybe a screen? That way they could still see it, and they would learn to accept it by being around it but not being able to pick at it.

Maybe someone else has another idea but I think that's what I would do.

That should work.
Are you sure they were really picking at it? I know when I first introduce newbie to my other chicks ( I do staggered hatches) They just peck them a few times cause they are curious about them then they usually leave them alone.

yes i am sure i was wahcing them and the others where coming up and picking it beek and it's feet it was hrush. froget to say i have to duck fuzzy butts so much nicer then those chick fuzzy buts.
