Not my video but one of my roosters is doing this all of a sudden:

After last week's death and scare, I'm certain I'm the worst quail mommy ever and I'm not cut out for this. What's going on? Is it bad? Are all my quail going to die???

Looks like he might have banged the ol' noggin.

When my coturnix are less then 2 wks old, they'll back it up like that before dropping a turd sometimes.

No, in a few days he will become a Ninja Master.

( I think hes ok, maybe he bumped his head, maybe its quail social behavior, but I don't think its serious)

DC X2. This comes from hitting the ceiling and has brain swelling or spinal cord damage. Keep the bird isolated and warm.Don't let him chill. You might put some 3/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a plastic 1 quart waterer and fill with water. ACV helps with inflammation. Sick birds generally won't eat their regular food. So feed him what ever he will eat, no matter what it is. Fruit is good because it will help keep the blood sugar up in the brain. Quarter some peaches. Quail love this stuff. Berries too. Dip the beak in the water several times a day to keep him drinking. Many times they can't drink by themselves.

And watch him. Sometimes they pull thru and sometimes not. Keep us posted and I hope he recovers.

Well 24 hours later he seems like himself. He's crowing and no longer crouching and walking backwards.

So happy I didn't lose my little Quagmire!

Thank you all for the advice. I wonder if he got a little too frisky with his hens and hopped up and hit his head? He's with very docile hens and is just starting to mount.

His "brother" Quincy is like a teenage boy with all his hens. But Quagmire has been a little more reserved. They need to switch names lol

Little Quaggy feeling better:
