What chicken age is best for training?

I have 4 Barred Rocks. They are about 2 and a half months old. I call their names, and they tilt their head, but they do not come to me. I was wondering if their ages matter, because usually the older, the wiser. If their age doesn't matter, how do I train them?

Training can start at hatch. First part is simply getting birds used to your signal or voice. Within a few hours they will start to show interest in food. It takes a couple days before they really get excited about eats.
