What color are splash Marans eggs, and how do they compare to Black Copper Marans eggs? I have some splash Marans chicks, and I am wondering what their eggs will look like. Thank you.

Mine lays a vertical pretty chocolate brown. Definitely not as dark as some people get, but I know when it's hers and her daughters lay pretty olive Grey's thanks to the araucana adding blue

Hi, you should get fairly dark brown eggs. Mine a dark brown.

It depends on who you get them from. Hatchery vs breeder and what they are breeding towards hatchery and breedes with hatchery stock tend to be lighter. Top two browns are from black copper hens, bottom is from splash copper from the same breeder.
