What color is my call duckling?

Yesterday I hatched out this call duckling. He is absolutely adorable! I’m wondering what color he is. I’m new to call ducks and can’t find any examples of how to identify what colors babies are.

Yesterday I hatched out this call duckling. He is absolutely adorable! I’m wondering what color he is. I’m new to call ducks and can’t find any examples of how to identify what colors babies are.

He looks like he might possibly be a blue fawn or some sort of grey mix! Congrats, he is adorable! @Isaac 0 or @Pyxis would be able to tell you for sure! They are much more experienced than me. Here are some pictures of my blue fawns as ducklings! Sadly the one in the last picture had internal issues and ended up passing. Sorry the pictures aren’t the best quality they were mostly on the car ride home after I picked them up.

No idea what color he/she'll be but they are adorable! I have one call duck that I got as an adult. He's pretty docile. When I catch hime he just climbs up me onto my head.

Here’s an update on the duckling. He/she is shockingly cute. I think it’s a blue fawn after looking at your pictures @FunnyfarmMidwest

This was my first time incubating call duck eggs and out of 5, he was the only one that hatched due to me not knowing they’d need assistance. I made it just in time for him, but since he was the only one to hatch, he’s fully imprinted on me and thinks I’m his mother. Makes it a lot more work, but he’s cute, so he can be spoiled.

I think so too! I’m glad he hatched! I have calls that are hatching out in the next few days! I’m so excited! My last attempt at hatching them didn’t go well. My Call Splash imprinted on me and still follows me everywhere at a year old.
