what color is my cochin pullet?

I want to say red, my buff has a more golden color. Any chance you can take a pic of her in natural light? The flash is kinda messing with the color.

I'd say she's buff right now, but will mature to a nice red in a few more weeks!

ha, well she's a march hatch pullet. so she's pretty much been this same color for a while.

i dont know much about the buff/red color yet so that is why i am asking. do reds usually start off buff? in the sunlight this same pullets feathers have a blueish iridescence to them. i love it!

oh yeah -- and this IS natural light. that is pretty much her exact color. but i have some more pics of her. i will post them

With the darker neck hackle, I don't think she's pure buff. Any chance she's out of a Mille Fleur project?

that one was taken a few weeks ago

and the next ones are from when she was a younger pullet, but she's essentially the same color now.

also, she is laying, if that makes a difference in opinions.
