What color is my EE?

I was just wondering what color is this chicken? Are her feathers considered blue? Her name is dusty and she is my son's favorite.

Easter eggers dont fit into a defined color, so really there is no certain term for her coloration.


However, just looking at her, Her main color seems to be lavender-ish, with a red-ish speckles. Lol, thats about as close as it gets, I think.


Shes a very, very pretty girl though.

Oh, I like the sounds of that! lol We just love her so much. Lavender it is.

She is blue with some red leaking through from whatever was crossed to produce her. If she were lavender, the red would have been a cream color, not red. Very pretty girl! I love those fluffy faces.

She also appears to have some mottling going on.

That's funny, we have one that looks almost identical. She is a beautiful blue like yours with the lightest brushing of dark, dark gold all over. We call her honey because it looks like someone drizzled honey all over!
