well. I will not be keeping it. There is a few of them i am going to cull. I hate to say that word. But I am in this for breeding silkies. Not for mixes like this. I am very disappointed. But my next batch that i have due on the 30th ..Those ones are from my birds. Which i do know what i have. They are all pure silkies. But not all of this batch is bad. I have learned a lot from you guys and still learning. As soon someone said something about the feathers. I went and looked at the others. They were not the same at all. They are 3 out of 20 ....I just think those eggs got mixed with the silkies eggs by mistake. I chance you take sometimes. Yes i will do it again. As i am always looking for improvement and new blood lines. Thanks again for looking.

Sorry about your getting a mix and having to cull. For the record that color chick down is a simple melanized partridge, the darker color hiding normal lighter partridge/wild chick down. I get some of those dark dark chicks from my partridge rocks.
