What colour would you call her?

This is my Sumatra hen named Cupcake. She is 11 weeks and 3 days old today exactly. I am calling her a "Blue Splash" splash as more and more black patches seem to be coming in on her. The one her chest started off small and now goes almost all the way across her chest.

Blue Splash seems like a correct term, although whatever gene is responsible for the splotches can't be the one that causes them in a true Splash bird. Very interesting color. Definitely do some breeding with some blues and splashes, just to see what comes out of it, and find out if her color is just a fluke or a trait that can be bred for. It's certainly a very beautiful color.

Definitely seems like a splash bird with a mix of genes. Although she does look very dark for splash, I think splash would be the most correct!

Yes she is dark. She is the typical blue colouring except for the black patches. This is her sister and brother.
