What could he be?

I think I bought him as a Welsummer pullet chick this spring. The other three have the correct coloring of Welsummer pullets, but have small crests like legbars. I just consider him a hatchery mutt, but I really do like the looks of him so thought I may as well ask.

Handsome! If your females look like Welsummers but have crests, they most likely are Olive Eggers. Probably Welsummer mixed with Crested Cream Legbars.

He resembles a bielefelder rooster. just a little darker brown. Beifelders and welsummers looks pretty similar as hens, but the roosters look different from each other. the crests lead me to believe they are not one breed. so yes, probably a hatchery mutt . where did you buy from?

Maybe all 4 of them are some sort of Welsummer/Legbar Olive Egger cross.

Local feed store. I'm not sure which hatchery they use. I do have a Beifelder roo that I hatched from some eBay eggs. He's much larger than Lucky.

They do, but I'm not sure who is laying what yet. I do have olive eggers so y'all have probably figured it out.
