What deters 'Possums?

We have a family of possums that eat my chicken feed. We trapped and shot THREE of them but they keep sending in replacements!!!!

What can I do to deter those

possums?????

Where is your chicken feed? You are right that they keep coming so you have to protect (in this case the feed) from them.

I am keeping them shut in the coop, so the possum can't get in. He sneaks in when I leave the coop door open so the girls and boys can free range inside the barn.

You have the answer, keep at it. I keep a large live trap baited most all the time. Peanut butter or canned tuna/cat food. It's safe for innocents and you can take your time carrying out sentence.
