Hey quail keepers
I've been reading for a few weeks thought I'd try some quail. At a swap meet here in ohio I got 6 cots, 1 male &5 females. The guy told me they where 4 weeks old. Built a nice coop, well after a month 1 female was killed by a cat 1 was scalped so bad I had to cull her. Now I see one has a real bad prolapse so I'll cull her. I just don't know if I should try to find more or try again next year. Is there time to hatch some and get eggs before we lose 14 hours of day light

well, being that the length of daylight doesn't go down to 13 hours until August, I'd say you have plenty of time between now and then to hatch out some eggs.
