What do chickens do during rainy days?

Basically the question. They can’t free range outside and they can’t sunbathe so do they just sleep, eat, and cluck in the coop? Does anyone put anything in the coop to make keep your hens entertained?

My chickens love rain and do free range in it. If it rains to hard, they take shelter under vehicles or our camper, they dont go back to the coop for shelter. It has to be absolutely pouring for them to take a break from the rain, but otherwise rain doesn't stop them a bit. In fact, i think they enjoy it. Their coop is strictly for roosting and laying, so its small. To small to stay in for rainy days even if they wanted to. But they don't, so we're good with rainy days here :)

Mine go out in the rain, too. If they want shelter, they go under the deck, or under an eave. Sometimes, they get quite wet. They did this in the snow, too, once they got over the initial shock of it! They only go back to their coop and run for food and water.

Yeah if it’s just sprinkling a little I have seen that my girls don’t care and still peck around but once it starts raining heavily, they ran to the coop or under our roof covering the patio.
