What do hens say?

I have silkie chicks, around 3 months old now, and this morning I noticed that one has started saying bok bok bok. Do roosters also make this sound? Or just hens?

One silkie has started crowing

chickens will make a bunch of sounds, i had a rooster try to copy my geese and ive watched hens crow

hi I raise silkies and depending on the age I might be able to tell the sex. at 3 months I can usually tell. can you post a picture of the chick side view also please and I'll try and help. one thing I've noticed that's very consistent with silkies is females have a perfectly round crest its noticeable even with the crest not fully developed. males crests although round tend to be swept back and this is especially noticeable from the side view. I was able to accurately guess my cockerels with this method before they started crowing. the female crest is perfectly round from side view the males although it may appear round from the front view side view will show how the crest sweeps backward. another thing I've noticed is cockerels when young are more friendly than young females. if you like post a pic and I'll give it my best guess.
