What do I do?? (re: medicating chicks)

I got 27 chicks a week ago, and they were vaccinated for both cocci and Mareks before they were mailed to me.
NOW, I have Dominique eggs at my mother in laws that are hatching NOW!
Obviously, I wonder what I need to do about these home hatched chicks...
Do I put something in their water? Do they need different food? The 27 from last week are on regular starter, not medicated...
Please guide me!

You've got a couple choices--

Get the vaccines from your vet or feed store, and vaccinate yourself (or pay to have a vet do it if you can't), if you want them vaccinated;

Keep them separate and feed medicated feed;

Keep them together and leave them unvaccinated, as the medicated feed will counteract the vaccines given to the others.

I am leaning towards feeding them medicated feed and keeping them seperate..HOw long would they have to be seperated?
My mother in law called and went to the co-op this morning and got something you put in their water that she SAYS acts the same as the medicated food..is this true, or is this something that you put in the water to treat a sickness the birds already have??
