What do I do?

In my run, the grass is dead and it's covered with droppings so I was wondering what I could do.

just rake out the droppings. You could throw some hay down or some other form of bedding if you want.

Straw is not a good idea. Temporary but not a permanent fix. Sand is great, wood chips also work well. Add lawn clippings after you mow every time. Its a cheap form of bedding in the summer

Add grass clippings, leaves, straw, hay, pine shavings, lawn/garden debris. The droppings will go to the bottom and decompose. The chickens will keep it turned.
