i built some cages to breed my ducks in this year so i got purebreed ducklings but i lost my rouen drake so im going to breed her with my lone cayuga drake wonder what the ducklings will look like.

was wondering what everyone else thought of this pairing.

My guess is all black since extended black is dominant with orangish legs and a bill color inbetween the 2.

the black one is a cayuga drake and the other is a rouen hen

I just saw a bird that looked a lot like a cayuga that was mixed with a mallard (who have similar coloration to rouens) and she was all black with white "trim" on her speculum feathers and orange legs "peppered" with some black and a blackish-orange bill. I suspect that a rouen/cayuga mix would be similar, but with a bigger body.
