What do you do for fairs?

This fall will be the 1st fair that we have been chicken owners, and my children want to enter them. I am not even sure what that involves.

My only point of reference is when Fern took Wilbur to the fair in Charlotte's Web..LOL

Not currently, there is just a fair that comes to town. Do you HAVE to be involved with one of these groups?
