What do you do for fly control after the cornish are gone?

The chickens were raised near my garden and now when I work in the garden flys are everywhere.

Would lime do it?

TSC has a product called stall dry. It contains DE and clay. It is in pelleted form. Other than that, it's been pretty hard to find locally.

DE is the best at keeping them away, I use it everywhere and often I love this stuff.

They make disposable fly traps that I've been getting on clearance at TSC lately. It's basically a bag with a bait in it that you fill with water then hang up. They work REALLY well. Within a couple of days, they will be FULL of flies.

jaku: could you elaborate on brand, etc? I'm in Canada - not sure what TSC is (shopping channel?)

Even pics and a name would work; I could try to find something similar up here.
