Okay, so my ducks are getting about that age where they need "big duck food", right now They are eating scratch, and some layer mash. Which is was you would feed chickens. So Is this okay to be giving to my ducks? I slowly switched them over by mixing it with their finisher, and now its completely the scratch and layer mash. But they dont seem to eat it as fast as they would eat their old food. Am I doing something wrong?sc

I feed mine purina duck food(pellet form). You can give them un-medicated chicken feed, but it might make them sick if the protein and mineral content is different. Ask your local feed supplier. They will help you out.

So I should switch them over to pellets? Instead of the scratch, or is it okay for them.

Depends on how old they are. I usually wait 5-6 weeks just to be safe. I'd say 5 weeks old at least they'd be okay to eat pellets. But it'd be okay to feed them the rest of the food you have until you run out to save money. Here is a link:

Hope that help.
